Supporting Christian Talents

Since we believe all the arts contribute to our churches and communities, we also support Christian writers, composers, and dancers in the Twin Cities area. If you are interested in any of the three listed below, please fill out the contact form, and we will gladly forward your information.

Founded in 1954, the goal of Minnesota Christian Writer’s Guild is to instruct writers to learn the craft of writing, by supporting them with tools, training, and seminars to uphold the high standards of writing and encouraging members to achieve their writing goals by loving God and writing for people. 

Tina Newman has been dancing for God since 1999 in various church ministries. She especially enjoys prophetic worship and symbolic choreography with streamers, flags, banners, and tambourines. Her curriculum bases all movement and patterns on specific Scriptures, and she especially loves to work with children.

The Minnesota Association of Christian Songwriters is a growing local organization. Our purpose is to encourage, educate, and equip songwriters who are called to use their gifts of music and lyrics to glorify God, edify the body, and point the way to Jesus Christ. We invite you to come and enjoy meetings, even if you've never written a song. This is a good place to start! There are songwriters of all levels in MACS, and it is a blessing to be able to support and encourage each other with the precious gift that God has given us.

The Minnesota Association of Christian Songwriters began in 1989 with a vision to provide the craft of songwriting to Christian artists in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Since then we have experienced much growth, with a mailing list of hundreds Christian artists. In 1999 we became a non-profit organization, governed by an elected board of directors, dedicated to serving local Christian Songwriters. Some exciting events have taken place at M.A.C.S. throughout the years. M.A.C.S. has sponsored various “songwriting performances” at coffee houses, bookstores, the state Fair and Famous Dave's and churches, just to name a few. And the vision continues.
